The seas between islands aren't empty. Random events trigger while you're sailing — some are distractions, some are lethal, and some are the best source of late-game materials you'll find outside a raid. Knowing what to fight and what to run from decides whether your voyage ends in profit or a sinking ship.
Sea Beasts are huge creatures that spawn randomly while you sail in the Second and Third Sea. They've got tons of HP and deal heavy ship damage, but they drop fragments, Beli, and occasionally rare items. Going solo is risky unless your fruit has strong AoE and your ship has upgraded cannons. With a crew, put one person on cannons while the rest attack from the deck. Each kill is worth 250-500 fragments — the best non-raid source in the game.
Minimum level is 700, but Third Sea beasts hurt way more. Bring repair materials before you engage — a beast can shred your ship in seconds if you ignore it.
Terrorsharks attack in groups. Each one's weaker than a Sea Beast, but in packs they can pin your ship and stop it from moving. Solo? Focus one at a time and keep moving. A stationary ship with multiple Terrorsharks around it sinks fast. Use AoE that hits both the sharks and the water — they swim underneath and can be tricky to target.
NPC pirate ships engage you in naval combat. These are common from the Second Sea onward, and they're the easiest sea event by far. Board their ship, clear the crew, collect Beli and XP. Ship raids respawn quickly, making them a solid bonus while traveling. If your cannons are upgraded, you can sink them from range before boarding — safer, but you miss the close-quarters XP.
Always carry repair materials — one event can cripple your ship. Upgrade HP and speed at the shipwright NPC before you try Sea Beasts. Watch the minimap for event triggers; some announce before they appear. And if you're low level when a Sea Beast spawns? Sail away. The death penalty and repair bill aren't worth it.
Turn those Sea Beast fragments into Raid awakenings. Need more levels first? Leveling Guide's here. Free Beli and resets via Blox Fruits codes.
