They spawn randomly on the water between major islands, but there are hotspots. The waters around the Second Sea and Third Sea are where the action is. Not all boats handle Sea Beasts the same. Speed matters for getting there first, but durability matters too if you're planning to solo. Here's the breakdown:
Sea Beasts drop Fragments (the main currency for awakening fruits), Bones, and Colored Haki Scrolls. The real prizes are the Sea Beast sword, the Forgotten Cape, and high-tier stat boosts. Fragments stack up fast if you're cycling spawns efficiently — a good session can net you 500+ fragments easily.
The fastest method is a loop: patrol the Third Sea waters between the Mansion and the Sea of Treats, kill whatever spawns, then circle back. If you've got a buddy, split the area — one covers the north side, the other the south. Call out spawns in party chat. With two people on good boats, you can clear a spawn every 2-3 minutes.
